Evaluation of Mechanical Characteristics of Cement Mortar with Fine Recycled Concrete Aggregates (FRCA)

One of the growing demands in concrete manufacture is availability natural fine aggregates, which account for 35% to 45% total concrete. An alternative method disposal recycled aggregates (FRCA) generated from demolition and construction waste (C&DW) their usage mortar development mortar. The main aim this research work evaluate viability incorporating FRCA urban C&DW cement-based mortars. Simple processing techniques like washing sieving are adopted improve quality. Physical chemical characterization ingredients carried out. In four mixes 1:3 (cement: sand) with partial replacement normalized sand (0%, 25%, 50%, 100%) evaluated mechanical properties. Water cement ratio all determined by fixed consistency. Mechanical physical properties density, compressive strength, flexural strength studied various curing periods, result that optimum 25% based on a 90-day period.
